Enhance Clinical Reporting to Increase Reimbursement with i2iTracks

The HITECH Act of 2009 provided $19.2 billion in funding for hospitals and eligible providers that adopt a certified Electronic Health Record system (EHR). The incentives for demonstrating Meaningful Use of this technology are significant – up to $10 million per hospital, and $64,000 per eligible provider. The disadvantages of failing to comply are equally significant. Providers who do not demonstrate Meaningful Use of technology by 2015 are not eligible for the incentive payments and will be penalized through a 1 percent reduction in Medicare reimbursements each year – up to 5 percent total reduction. i2iTracks can help you report Meaningful Use clinical quality measures in order to receive incentive payments.

i2iTracks 7.4 and 7.6 have been tested and previously certified to the ONC 2014 Edition, calculating more than 40 clinical quality measures. The 2014 criteria support Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers to receive incentive payment under the HITEC Act.

i2iTracks 7.4 and 7.6 were 2014 Edition compliant and previously certified as an EHR Module by an ONC‐ACB in accordance with the applicable 2014 certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Capabilities: Certification includes the following 2014 Ambulatory Clinical Quality Measures: NQF 0002, 0004, 0018, 0024, 0028, 0031, 0032, 0033, 0034, 0036, 0041, 0043, 0055, 0056, 0059, 0060, 0064, 0068, 0069, 0075, 0089, 0101, 0105, 0108, 0403, 0405, 0418, 0421, 0608, 0712, 1401; and CMS 0050, 0061, 0064, 0065, 0074, 0075, 0077, 0179. Users can select any of these measures and generate printed reports and export the report data in PQRI, QRDA I, QRDAIII, as well as Excel, HTML and text formats.

Additional costs that a user may encounter: This certified product-version requires a one-time software and interface license purchase and annual support and maintenance fees. The base software license includes one 5 concurrent user bundle. Additional user bundles can be purchased as needed. Client is responsible for providing a technology platform to run the software or use a third party hosting company. Depending on the client’s needs, there may be an additional cost to provide services to help mine the EHR for additional data that would need to come over in the interface or to provide additional professional services such as training and consulting. If data needs to come from a source other than their EHR, (i.e. HIE, payer, etc.) additional interfaces may be purchased.
Limitations: When calculating the report data, the clinical data required for the measures must be captured in the EHR and included in the EHR interface. The client must be familiar with their own workflows and data entry procedures to verify and validate the accuracy of the measures. i2iTracks includes automated mapping of standard CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes required for the CQM data items. However, the client will need to add any custom items or non-standard codes to ensure proper mapping and report results.
